Kwug will return to the Small Hall at Kingsgate Community Centre, 107 Kingsgate Road, NW6 2JH on Thursday, 5 January 2017.(1)
The Small Hall doors open to us from 3pm on that day, and the meeting should start at about 3:15pm. After a round of introductions, those present will attempt to help with casework presented to them. There will be a break of about 10 mins around 4pm, before the meeting reconvenes to discuss other agenda matters. Priority between 5pm and 5:20pm will be given to any other casework not dealt with before the break, and from 5:20pm till 5:30pm we will focus on tidying and clearing the room for a 5:30pm exit.
Meanwhile, you might catch a glimpse of Kwuggie singers bringing Xmas cheer to a jobcentre other than Kilburn.
Note
Self-help support vs ravages of 'welfare reform'. Never attend anywhere official alone!
This blog currently focuses on national policy matters that impact upon KUWG members.
Kilburn Unemployed Workers Group as a group focuses primarily on combating benefits injustices locally through advocacy in individuals' benefit claims, and demonstrations that emphasise that there is hope when we come together. We are more angry than frightened.
