From a Brent Housing Action comrade
Harlesden Neighbourhood Plan - proposed boundary area. Click link for further detail |
Cautionary Notes
FYI:
details of the launch are below... Neighbourhood forums look to have a growing
influence over local planning issues as they are eligible to recoup
sizable portions of the Community Infrastructure Levy from Local
Authorities. The C.I.L. is widely regarded as a way of phasing out the
old Section 106 agreements, so developers can now contribute to the
local area by handing over a large sum of cash and so avoiding the
requirements to include social/affordable housing in the new builds.
(For more info on this and related topics from the DCLG click here: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/planning-update-march-2015)
Obviously
this may have a pretty big effect on people in the catchment area, so
please forward to any residents or interested parties and encourage them
to come along!
Only 6 days till the Neighbourhood Forum Launch!!!
