Wednesday is the first one in the month so we would normally have a
Fightback meeting, but Brent Council is holding the first meeting of the
new over-arching super, mega Overview and Scrutiny committee which is
replacing all the previous scrutiny committees. We're assured this will
mean no lack of democracy.
The general consensus is that we should cancel the Fightback meeting and encourage everyone who can make it to attend the Scrutiny Committee which is at 7 pm in the Civic Centre.
agenda includes the closure of the A & E Department at Cental
Middlesex Hospital which is now fixed for September 10th;
Transformational changes to local health services; the proposed charges
for green garden waste bins and much more. The full agenda and documents
can be downloaded from: http://democracy.brent.gov.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=444&MId=2465
